I got this image at Grayson Highlands in Virginia this past weekend while I was backpacking with my brother and three friends. This type of light is commonly referred as "Godbeams", but its more precise moniker is corpuscular rays. The exposure was f/11 @ 1/250 of a second on a D1X with a 17-35mm f/ 3.5 lens. Nice shot buddy.
Damn.
The light is obviously beautiful. Glad you got it the way you did. Color or black and white, it's gorgeous. Now I'm really jealous I couldn't go with you that weekend. ;)
Your past stuff makes me look forward to seeing what you shoot on internship. ;)
This is an awesome shot! I meant to tell ya tonight when I saw you at the election thing, but I forgot... but really nice, your awesome at scenery photography... you make it look so good that it doesnt look real! NICE WORK
Nice shot. Nothing like going out for a hike and coming across a scene such as that. Nice job capturing such a beautiful moment.
