I shot this at sunset on Indian Beach -- north of Emerald Isle. Camera settings were f/11 @ 3 seconds. Flash was used to illuminate the foreground -- settings unknown.

I got this image at Grayson Highlands in Virginia this past weekend while I was backpacking with my brother and three friends. This type of light is commonly referred as "Godbeams", but its more precise moniker is corpuscular rays. The exposure was f/11 @ 1/250 of a second on a D1X with a 17-35mm f/ 3.5 lens.

Found a coiled hose in good soft light, hence this shot. D1X was set at f/8 @ 1/60 sec.

Found these old bathtubs at a salvage yard and liked the way they were grouped. Image captured at f/16 @ 1/30 sec on a D1X.

A cherub stands vigil on a summer day near the back patio of the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. I took this picture while working with Albion studios on a Lowes Home Improvement shoot. We spent a week on the grounds of the Estate.
